Trust & safety

How we check who is on the platform, what we keep, and what happens when something goes wrong.

How doctors are verified

Every doctor gives their medical registration number and the council that issued it. We check that number against the official State Medical Council and NMC records. Separately, their identity is confirmed by a specialist verification partner.

A doctor can only accept shifts once both checks agree. Anything that does not clear automatically goes to a human reviewer rather than being waved through. Verification is repeated periodically while an account stays active.

Verification reduces risk — it does not remove it. Hospitals should still apply their own judgement and checks before engaging anyone.

What we do not collect

Rounds does not store your certificates or identity documents. No degree certificate, no ID proof, no selfie, no police clearance. We keep the registration number and the result of checking it.

When your identity is verified, you present your ID to our verification partner on their own page. It never passes through Rounds and we never hold a copy. The safest way to protect a document is not to have it.

How hospitals are checked

Hospitals give a GST number and, where they have one, a business registration number. The GST number is validated automatically — its check digit, its state code, and the identity encoded inside it are all cross-checked against the address and name given. Anything that does not line up is reviewed by a person.

Where a clinic is owned by a practising doctor, that doctor's own medical registration is verified too. Only then does the facility show a doctor-owned & verified badge.

Money

Rounds takes no commission. Whatever a hospital agrees to pay, the doctor receives in full, paid directly between them. The platform never holds your money and there is no wallet.

Our only revenue is the doctor subscription, and optional profile promotion. Promoted profiles rank higher in their area and are always labelled as promoted — you are never shown a paid result pretending to be an ordinary one.

Ratings and reliability

Doctors and hospitals rate each other after a completed engagement. Ratings, completed-shift counts and cancellation counts are shown openly, so reliability is visible before anyone commits.

If an account's average falls below 2.5 across enough ratings to be meaningful, it is flagged for our team to review. We look at the feedback before acting — a low average sometimes reflects one repeated dispute rather than a pattern.

If something goes wrong

Every profile and every completed booking has a way to report a concern. It goes to a real support queue, is assigned to a person, and is tracked to resolution.

Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and we aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, our Grievance Officer is named in the Privacy Policy, and you can escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

Serious concerns — patient safety, credential fraud — are acted on immediately and reported to the relevant council where appropriate.

Your data

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent, removes your uploaded photos from storage as well as your profile, and needs no email to support first.

Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
