How locum work is arranged in Delhi

A hospital that is short of a doctor for a night, a weekend or a week posts the shift with the dates, the hours and the rate it will pay. Verified doctors nearby see it and accept the one they want. There is no agency in between, no phone tree, and nobody waiting for a callback.

Every doctor is checked before they can accept anything. The registration number is verified against the State Medical Council register and NMC records. A doctor can only take work once that check clears, and anything that does not clear automatically goes to a human reviewer. Rounds keeps the registration number and the result, not degree certificates, ID proofs or selfies.

The hospital pays the doctor directly. Rounds takes no commission on any shift and never holds the money, so there is nothing to withhold and nothing to delay. The rate agreed when the shift is accepted is the rate paid.

Registration is what decides where a doctor may work, not where they live. A doctor registered with the Delhi Medical Council can take work in Delhi; doctors registered elsewhere should check their own council’s position before accepting.
