Terms of Service

Rounds Healthcare Technologies · Rounds platform

Last updated: 2026-08-25

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Rounds Healthcare Technologies (“Rounds”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the platform you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Definitions

Platform means the Rounds mobile applications, website and related services. Doctor means an independent registered medical practitioner using the platform to find work. Hospital means a registered hospital, clinic or healthcare facility using the platform to find practitioners. Locum shift means a short-term engagement. Placement means a permanent or long-term engagement.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. Doctors must hold current, valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a relevant State Medical Council. Hospitals must be lawfully constituted and hold the registrations required to operate in their state.

The platform is intended for use within India. We may refuse, suspend or terminate an account that does not meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Doctors and hospitals sign in using a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining control of that Google account and for all activity under your Rounds account. Notify us immediately at support@myrounds.in if you believe your account has been compromised.

One account per person or facility. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

4. Marketplace role and independent contractor status

Rounds is a technology platform that introduces doctors and hospitals to one another. We are not an employer, staffing agency, recruitment agency or healthcare provider. We do not employ doctors, do not supervise clinical work and do not direct how any engagement is performed.

Doctors engage with hospitals as independent professionals and retain complete clinical autonomy and professional judgement. No employment, partnership, agency or joint-venture relationship is created between Rounds and any user, or between users, by use of the platform.

Any contract for a Locum Shift or Placement is formed directly between the doctor and the hospital. We are not a party to it.

5. Doctor obligations

  • Maintain valid registration and provide accurate credential information.
  • Hold and maintain your own professional indemnity insurance appropriate to your practice. The platform provides none.
  • Attend accepted shifts punctually, or cancel in accordance with clause 9 so the hospital can arrange cover.
  • Comply with all applicable medical, ethical and statutory obligations, including the standards of the relevant Medical Council.
  • Keep patient information confidential at all times.

6. Hospital obligations

  • Provide accurate details of every shift or role posted, including the rate.
  • Pay the doctor the agreed amount in full, directly and on time (see clause 8).
  • Provide a safe working environment and any facilities, equipment and support reasonably required for the engagement.
  • Hold the registrations, licences and insurance required for your facility, and verify independently that any practitioner you engage is suitable for the role.

7. Subscriptions, pricing and GST

The platform earns revenue solely from doctor subscriptions. We charge 0% commission and take no percentage of any shift rate or placement salary. Hospitals use the platform free of charge.

Current doctor plans:

  • 1 month: ₹250 + 18% GST
  • 3 months: ₹700 + 18% GST
  • 6 months: ₹1,400 + 18% GST
  • Hospitals: free to post shifts and hire.

Prices are shown inclusive of applicable GST before you pay, and on every receipt. We may change prices from time to time; a change never affects a subscription you have already paid for. Subscriptions do not auto-renew — you choose to renew each time. Renewing early adds the new period to your remaining days rather than discarding them.

An active subscription is required for a doctor to accept shifts or apply for placements. It does not guarantee any volume of work, any particular rate, or that any hospital will select you.

8. Payments between doctors and hospitals

The platform holds no user funds and processes no payment between a hospital and a doctor. There is no in-app wallet. The hospital pays the doctor directly, in full, by whatever method the two agree.

We are not responsible for non-payment, late payment, short payment or any dispute about an agreed rate. We may record what was agreed in order to assist with a grievance, but we cannot compel payment and are not a guarantor.

9. Shift cancellation and attendance

A doctor may cancel an accepted shift free of charge up to 4 hoursbefore the scheduled start time. A cancellation inside that window is recorded as a late-cancellation strike on the doctor’s public profile, because reliability is what the network depends on. There is no monetary penalty and no deduction, as the platform holds no funds.

Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may lead to suspension or removal. Hospitals may raise surge pricing to fill an urgent shift; any surge is paid entirely to the doctor and we take no part of it.

10. Verification

Before a doctor can work through the platform we verify registration details against Medical Council registers and carry out an identity check through a specialist verification partner. Rounds does not collect or store your certificates, identity documents or photographs of them — you present your ID to the partner directly and we receive only the outcome. Verification may be repeated periodically while an account remains active.

Submitting false, altered or misleading credentials will result in immediate termination of access and may be reported to the relevant statutory council and law enforcement. Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee, and hospitals remain responsible for their own due diligence.

11. Refunds and cancellation of a subscription

You may request a refund of a subscription payment within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not used the subscription to accept a shift or apply for a placement in that period. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, usually within 5–7 working days.

Beyond that window, or once the subscription has been used, payments are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law or where we have charged you in error. Request a refund at support@myrounds.in.

If we suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, no refund is due. If we discontinue the service, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.

12. Prohibited conduct

  • Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your credentials or facility.
  • Using the platform for anything unlawful, or for any non-medical staffing purpose.
  • Attempting to circumvent verification, payment gating, or any technical restriction.
  • Scraping, bulk-extracting or reselling data from the platform.
  • Harassing, threatening or discriminating against another user.
  • Posting false ratings or reviews, or manipulating ratings.

13. Ratings and reviews

Doctors and hospitals may rate each other after a completed engagement. Ratings, completed-shift counts and cancellation counts are shown publicly on profiles so the network can judge reliability. Reviews must be honest and based on a real engagement. We may remove content that is defamatory, discriminatory, reveals patient information or breaches these Terms.

14. Intellectual property

The platform, its software, design and branding belong to Rounds Healthcare Technologies. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from it. Content you upload remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to host, display and process it solely to operate the platform.

15. Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is”. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing on the platform should be treated as such.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing, the conduct of any user, that a doctor will find work, or that a hospital will find a suitable practitioner. We are not responsible for the clinical care delivered during any engagement, or for its outcome. Service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rounds Healthcare Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, data or reputation, arising from your use of the platform.

Our total aggregate liability to any user for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the total subscription fees that user paid us in that period, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Rounds Healthcare Technologies against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of law or professional obligation, or any dispute between you and another user.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the platform at any time and delete your account from Profile settings in the app. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, fails verification, or presents a risk to patients or other users. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to respond; where there is a risk to patient safety we may act immediately.

Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Obligations you owe another user under an existing engagement survive termination.

19. Grievance redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, complaints may be sent to our Grievance Officer at grievance@myrounds.in, or raised in-app under Support. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service develops or the law changes. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and we will give notice in-app of any material change. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

21. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save that either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court.
