A walk-in interview is an open session where doctors come with their documents and are interviewed on the day. Carry your registration certificate, degree certificates, ID and CV, confirm the notice is genuine, and ask about the duty terms before you accept.
Hospitals and institutes announce a date and place, and doctors who meet the conditions come in person with their documents. Selection is usually decided on the day or shortly after.
Your registration certificate and registration number, degree and training certificates, a photo ID, a recent CV and passport-size photographs. Bring photocopies as well as originals.
Read the notice on the hospital's or institute's own official website where you can. Be careful with any notice that asks you to pay a fee to attend or to be selected.
Ask about the duty hours, the pay and the date it is paid, the length of the engagement, and what happens if either side needs to end it. If you prefer short engagements, locum shifts on Rounds list the date, hours and rate before you accept.
Every registration checked against NMC records. Zero commission, the hospital pays the doctor directly.
