Rounds, account and data deletion

Last updated: 2026-10-08

If you can sign in

Open Rounds, go to Settings → Sign in and security, and choose Delete My Account. Type DELETE to confirm and the account is deleted immediately. If you have shifts booked that someone is counting on, cancel those first so the other side is told.

If you cannot sign in, or have uninstalled the app

Email support@myrounds.in from the address your account uses, with the word Delete in the subject. Writing from the registered address is how we confirm the request is yours. We will not delete an account on the word of a third party.

What is deleted

Your profile and the details on it, any documents you uploaded, your photograph, your bookings and shift history, your messages, your notifications, and the device registrations that let us send you alerts.

What is kept, and why

A small amount of information outlives the account, because the law requires it rather than because we want it:

  • Verification records, the medical registration number checked and the result of that check. A hospital that engaged a doctor through Rounds may need to show who was verified and when.
  • Invoices and payment records, for as long as Indian tax law requires them to be retained.
  • Records of a grievance that was raised and how it was resolved.

The retention periods are set out in clause 4 of the privacy policy. Nothing kept is used to contact you or to build a profile of you.

How long it takes

Deleting from the app happens at once. A request by email is completed within 7 days of receiving it, and normally much sooner. Deletion is permanent: an account cannot be restored afterwards, and signing in again with the same email creates a new, empty account.
